Opened in 1997, Century High School is Rochester’s newest four-year comprehensive public high school. Although the first senior class to graduate was the class of 2000, Century has established an enviable record of excellence. It has ranked first in the state for the number of National Merit Finalists, and is recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of America’s Top High Schools. Several Century students have received national recognition in math and science competitions. Century won the 2001 Boys Golf and 2003 Baseball state championships in addition to numerous multi-sport conference and section titles. Century has sent its graduates to the nation’s finest colleges and universities from coast to coast.
