Our Science Bound Scholars mentorship group recently gathered at Mayo Clinic for an engaging panel discussion with physicians, giving students the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions about college, career pathways, and the realities of working in medicine. Students asked about motivation, skill-building, internships, and the challenges physicians face today. The panelists shared powerful insights—emphasizing continuous learning, staying people-centered in your work, finding meaning in what you do, building strong habits, and focusing on growth beyond just building a résumé. A huge thank you to Dr. Sumera Ahmad, Dr. Alexander Niven, Dr. Ashokakumar Patel, Dr. Erin DeMartino, and Dr. Hector Cajigas for investing their time and wisdom into our students. We are grateful for your partnership and impact!
