The Century Debate team rounded out its high performing and award winning season with a trip to state Classic League debate tournament on December 5th and 6th. Three teams made it through to Octa finals and semifinals in the Junior Varsity category. Zainab Iftikar and Mia Milosevic won a semi finals award (top 8). Vikram Manivannan and Henry Krysch as well as Idris Caamir and Cole Lappi got Octo finals awards (top 16) meaning three Century teams took three places in the top sixteen statewide.
Congratulations to Century Junior, Norah Chonis, who received the Mayor's Medal of Honor for Youth Serving the Community!

Century Girls soccer and Student Government hosted our second Unified event of the school year, Friendsgiving. It was a morning spent with our amazing students showing what unity truly looks like and celebrating the spirit of inclusion that makes our community so strong.

Century students had a great time atyesterday's STEAM Summit, exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. A huge thank-you to the Rochester Chamber of Commerce and all of the participating businesses for investing time and energy into making this career-connected learning event such a valuable and memorable experience for our students. Your support truly helps inspire their future pathways!

Last Friday Century hosted RCTC's Career Corner, where visitors from several of their programs brought exhibits for our students about cyber security, law enforcement, and teaching. More exhibits will be coming in the spring!

Century students participated in the Construct Tomorrow event today to explore career opportunities within the union construction trades. This event provided insight into apprenticeship programs, career pathways, and the many benefits available in the skilled trades. Students also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and interact directly with industry professionals to gain a deeper understanding of potential future careers. Experiences like these align with our ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful, career-connected learning opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school.
